What's on my hook this month

Fall is my favorite season to crochet for, and as we creep into fall, most of my projects outside of custom orders are getting ready to add fall items to my shop and the hive. This month I have a lot of WIPs and will be including them here as well. You can definitely tell I'm in transition mode, as some of my items I'm working on are still summer items while others are getting into the spooky season. 

One of my favorite things to make is seasonal doilies. For fall, I'm always stuck on the Spooky Soiree pattern by Julia Hart on Ravlery and anything by Creative Works by Anne. I'm currently working on the Spooky Soiree candy corn version, which is always a big hit and really works my brain in a good way. I have yet to try the other version, but that might be what ends up on my hook next. 

I'm also working on the Crown of Skulls by Creative Works by Anne, which is one of my all time favoirite doily patterns. I love it so much I tend to do it year round. I like to attach them to a 24" hoop and hang them. I think they look so pretty like that. I don't have a picture of the one I'm currently working on, but it's in black yarn.

I just finished the Lost Souls shawl about a week ago in a papaya color, and it turned out so nice. I love making these during this time of year because it's lacy and perfect for cool summer nights and an introduction to fall weather. It can also be paired with a long sleeve to add an extra layer of warmth. I usually do these in dark colors, but I had some yarn I needed to use up, and I think it turned out perfectly. 

Another WIP I have going right now is a custom order for a lovely person on Etsy who wanted a very specific phrase and Kermit the frog. For this one, I had to completely design the photo I was using and put the image into StitchFiddle to get a pattern. As I'm writing this, I have 20 rows left on the tapestry, and it's turning out really nice. 

Coffee sleeves are always hit or miss around this time of year, but I have completed a few drippy looking ones to get ready for spooky season. I have a red and black one, and I'm currently working on a purple and green one. I personally love these things and use them all the time, but I also know most coffee cups already come with a paper sleeve, so I usually don't make too many of them.

I just finished and listed a mosaic hat in pink and white. That one was definitely a fun ride as it was my first time doing mosaic crochet. But it turned out really nice, and I have high hopes it's going to sell fast. 

As for my other WIPs I currently have a baby blanket that is more of a summery vibe, The ends to weave in on a black, white and grey baby blanket, A turtle plant holder that needs to have the ends seccured, part of a snail plant hanger that needs finished, a rocket ship I need to finish the legs to and finish up the pattern for, and a green and brown fanny pack bag I need to finish the strap and attach the zipper to.
